that lower their performance by keeping them in survival mode.

 

My approach blends trauma-responsive coaching, Brainspotting, and nervous-system work to help you not just recover, but fully step into a balanced, motivated, and confident state.

Beyond Burnout & Stress 

Tech professionals don't experience burnout because they are weak or not resilient enough. It happens when their nervous system has carried more pressure, urgency, responsibility, and emotional labor than it was ever meant to hold alone, leading to emotional exhaustion.

Fast-paced environments, layoffs, team instability, discrimination, constant uncertainty, in addition to stressful life circumstances, and after effects of past trauma all push the body into chronic stress. Over time, motivation drops, emotional numbness increases, and work starts to feel impossible even when you’re trying your hardest.

If you’ve tried taking time off, switching teams, meditating, or “pushing through,” but still feel stuck, it’s not because you’re failing. It’s because your system needs a different kind of support. I help you regulate your nervous system, process what’s underneath the burnout, and rebuild from a place of strength rather than helplessness.

Who I Work With

I work with tech professionals who feel overstretched, overwhelmed, and highly stressed. My clients might function at a high level externally while quietly struggling with symptoms that don’t go away with rest, time off, or willpower. Some of the symptoms you may relate to include:

Anxious

You constantly worry something may go wrong, you may get laid off, or be perceived as behind. Your heart races constantly at work. You don't even know why 

Exhausted

You feel drained after constant pressure to deliver. Sleep doesn't feel restful. You stare at your screen feeling paralyzed, and overwhelmed by your tasks.

Trapped

You stayed in a role, team, or company because you feel you can’t leave. You feel emotionally numb, or detached as pressure increases

Irritable

You react strongly to small requests, or feel instantly overwhelmed when priorities shift. You experience headaches, or stomach issues.

Unmotivated

You lost interest in solving problems you once enjoyed. Planning meetings, and  All- hands feel pointless or draining. You feel cynical.

Hopeless & Helpless

No matter how much you work, you can’t catch up, feel seen, or receive recognition. You feel like travelling through an endless tunnel with no exit 

Refactoring the Self

Burnout, high stress levels, and imposter syndrome often arise from a mix of workplace pressures, life circumstances, and unresolved past experiences, reinforcing one another in a cycle.

 

Stepping away from work may provide short-term relief from some of these challenges such as burnout, but without addressing the deeper roots, the symptoms often return—sometimes even in a new environment.

 

Once the deeper roots are addressed though, it’s possible not only to find relief but also to break free from the cycle and step into lasting resilience,  confidence and tranquility.

I am grateful to Mariam for her help in Brainspotting after the unexpected death of my father in December and then loss of our home to the Eaton Fire 3 week later.  I was not in a good place.  I had to work through a lot of grief and trauma and felt very out of balance,  Mariam is very patient and kind.  Although I don't really understand how Brainspotting works, I can say that it helped me.  It helped me with the incredible grief I felt after my dad passed.  It helped me focus on the depth of the love I have for my dad.  Brainspotting also helped me grieve the loss of my family home for 25 years and almost all our possessions.  When I felt anxiety over the loss of our home and fear of fire, refocusing my gaze to the spot I associated with my dad physically resulted in me visualizing a cover over the fire that was protecting me.  Accessing a safe space in my brain to help deal with trauma and grief was really remarkable.
